Our Story

Why Eighteen?

The name Eighteen brings together meaning from every angle. In Chinese culture, the number 8 symbolizes luck, while in Hebrew tradition, 18 represents life. A nod to our owners' backgrounds. We opened our doors in 2018, in Antwerp's 2018 district, making the name feel only natural.

Behind Eighteen are Nickie and Boris. Friends for over 20 years and business partners for the past eight. With roots in Chinese and Georgian Jewish cultures, their shared vision brings together different traditions and flavors, creating a place that feels warm, welcoming, and truly their own.
